2020年8月8日，吉林师范大学国家艺术基金项目“致敬传统——当代纸艺术作品巡展”第二站在山东美术馆拉开帷幕。本次展览由吉林师范大学主办，吉林师范大学美术学院、吉林师范大学中国纸艺术研究所、山东美术馆承办，力邀国内60位纸艺术创作领域代表性艺术家，通过120余件不同形态的艺术作品，探讨作为文化传承载体的纸在当代语境下呈现出的新的可能性，为中国纸艺术的研究与发展贡献力量。

展览由中国美术家协会主席、中央美术学院院长范迪安担任学术主持，中国美术家协会副主席、国防大学军事文化学院美术系主任李翔，中国美术家协会实验艺术委员会主任、中国艺术研究院副院长谭平，中国美术家协会实验艺术委员会委员，广州美术学院跨媒体艺术学院院长、华美术馆执行馆长冯峰，以及北京画院院长、北京画院美术馆馆长、吉林师范大学特聘教授吴洪亮担任学术委员。吉林师范大学中国纸艺术研究所负责人、教授李洪波和吉林师范大学美术学院院长陈思担任策展人。

“致敬传统”是基于传统文化土壤滋养基础上的再出发。正如本次展览策展人、艺术家李洪波所言：“致敬传统是为了更好地思考当下和放眼未来。改变的是创新的形制和不同时代变革下的思考，不变的是文脉和文化基因的传承。纸作为一种媒介和载体流传千年，也成为各个时代的见证者，当它与艺术家相遇，便被注入了新的表现形态、文化内涵与生命活力，而这正是赓续的力量。 ”

作为一种材料，纸在生活中无处不在，因此它是亲切和熟悉的。而另一方面，人们从未停止对它的探索和想象：它是平面的，也可以是立体多维的;它是纯白的，也可以是色彩斑斓的;它是柔软的，也可以是锋利坚硬的;它是静止的，也可以是流淌运动的......正是基于纸的亲和力和可塑性，使艺术语言的表达与创作成为可能。本次展览通过“致敬传统”“承前启后”“边界拓展”和“百花齐放”四大板块，探讨纸艺术的传承、赓续、创新与多元。艺术家通过“剪、雕、刻、镂、贴、塑”等方式进行个人创作，呈现出绘画、雕塑、装置、影像等多种艺术形式，深挖纸艺术的综合属性，并通过实验创作赋予其新的时代形象与艺术内涵。

从造纸术，到中国传统书画，又及印刷术，纸在中国历史上拥有着特殊的文化内涵和承载力。无疑，纸张作为一种载体是需要被书写的，那么当代语境下的我们又该如何用新的技艺与思考来书写文化与历史呢?游走于当代纸艺术作品的展厅，我们不禁思考：对于固有模式的突破、解构与重塑，续写了创新和发展的不竭动能。只有在传统基因上追求新的可能性，才会迎来发展的转机——从熟悉中见陌生，用已知创建未知，这也许是本次展览给予人们最大的启发。

——当代纸艺术作品巡展

前言

纸的重要性不言而喻，每个人都无法回避它的存在!纸的艺术表达也无可尽数，因为你我都可以用它呈现心中的世界。纸是那样无声无息，它像空气一样呵护着我们的生活……

它素颜少色，可又有风情万种的基因，只要你赋予它色彩，它就能还你美丽的画卷;它平淡无奇，可又有传于后世的本领，只要你赋予它文本，它就能还你千年的文明;它柔韧平滑，可又有雕镂裁剪的品质，只要你赋予它孔洞，它就能还你梦幻的空间;它纤薄脆弱，可又有坚如磐石的属性，只要你赋予它结构，它就能还你安全的居所。无处不在的纸，引无数艺术从业者探索其艺术承载的可能，创作出异彩纷呈的纸艺术作品。

吉林师范大学以敏锐的目光，在全国率先成立中国纸艺术研究所，并建造恒温恒湿的专业纸艺术馆，服务教学、回馈社会。此次的国家艺术基金项目“致敬传统——当代纸艺术作品巡展”即是其一次大型的推介活动，旨在为中国纸艺术发展贡献力量。展览共邀请了58位纸艺术创作领域代表性的艺术家，呈现具有创新价值的作品120余件。展览分为四个版块：

致敬传统——重在传承。主要呈现艺术家继承传统的纸艺术语言，采用“剪、雕、刻、镂、贴”等方式进行个人创作，展示传统在当代的价值。

承前启后——重在赓续。主要呈现艺术家挖掘传统纸艺术的综合属性，在此基础上赋予其新的时代形象和艺术内涵。

边界拓展——重在创新。主要呈现艺术家以纸为媒材的实验性创新之作，在雕塑、绘画、装置等跨越艺术门类的探索中使纸艺术的边界更加广阔。

百花齐放——重在多元。主要呈现艺术家更为自由、更为多样的纸媒艺术表达。

我不知道纸还能做什么，也不知道纸不能做什么，我只知道您的智慧可以赋予它别样的生命，它静待您的创想，展示其无尽的芳华!

A Tribute to Tradition

—The Exhibition of Contemporary Paper Art Works

Preface

The importance of paper is self-evident. No one can avoid its existence! The artistic expression of paper can not be counted because we can use it to present the world in our hearts. Paper is so silent. It cares for our lives like air...

It has few colors. But it also has a variety of genes. As long as you give it color, it can return your beautiful picture. It is bland, but it has the ability to pass on to future generations. As long as you give it text, it can return your thousand years of civilization. It is flexible and smooth, but also has the quality of carving and cutting. As long as you give it holes, it can also give you dream space. It is thin and fragile, but it has rock-solid properties. As long as you give it a structure, it can return your safe dwelling. The ubiquitous paper has attracted countless art practitioners to explore the possibilities of its art and create colorful paper works.

Jilin Normal University takes the lead in setting up China Paper Art Research Institute with keen vision and builds a professional paper art museum with constant temperature and humidity to serve teaching and give back to the society. The National Art Fund project—“A Tribute to Tradition—The Exhibition of Contemporary Paper Art Works” is a large-scale promotion activity, which aims to contribute to the development of Chinese paper art. 58 representative artists in the field of paper art creation are invited. They present more than 120 works with innovative value. The exhibition is divided into four sections:

A tribute to tradition—focus on inheritance. It mainly presents artists’ inheritance of the traditional paper art language, using “cutting, carving, engraving, engraving, sticking” and other methods for personal creation, showing the value of tradition in contemporary era.

Connecting the past and the future—focus on continuous development. It mainly shows that artists excavate the comprehensive attribute of traditional paper art. On this basis, they give it a new era image and artistic connotation .

Boundary expansion—focus on innovation. It mainly presents artists’ experimental and innovative works with paper as a medium and makes the boundary of paper art wider in the exploration of sculpture, painting, installation and other cross-art categories.

Hundreds of flowers bloom—focus on diversity. It mainly presents freer and more diverse expressions of paper art by artists.

I don’t know what paper can do or what paper can’t do. I only know that your wisdom can give it a different kind of life. It waits for your creativity and shows its endless brilliance!

2018年吉林师范大学成立中国纸艺术研究所，并于2020年落成了吉林师范大学纸艺术馆。中国纸艺术研究所是中国第一个致力于纸艺术文化的研究平台，平填补了我国在纸艺术领域的空白。纸艺术馆主体建筑面积3000平方米，包含纸文献展示区、展览区、工作坊教学区、影像区、作品收藏区等八个部分，是专注于纸艺术并且集展览、收藏、研究、教育功能于一身的专业艺术馆。2020年以来吉林师范大学纸艺术馆将开启面向全球的艺术家工作坊驻留项目和互动教学等计划。
