  Look back (phrasal verb)

  ●To think about something in the past.(追忆,回顾)

  Examples:  

  1.Looking back at last season, I can see why they didn't win the pennant.  

  2.At the high school reunion, everyone looked back at the good times they had shared.

  Sum sth up (phrasal verb)

  ●To describe something using only a few words.

  (总结,概括)

  Examples:  

  1.The city's problem can be summed up in three words: too many people.  

  2.Can you sum up what you 've written into a paragraph or even a single sentence ?

  Step into sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To start doing something, or become involved in a situation.(步入,踏上,开始)

  Examples:  

  1.Please don't step into something that does not concern you.  

  2.We have a new marketing specialist stepping into the business to try and turn the company's profits around.

  Further (verb)

  ●To develop or make progress in something.

  (推进,更进一步)

  Examples:  

  1.Additional training is probably the best way to further your career these days.  

  2.He has probably done more to further the cause of interracial harmony than any other person.

  Weal and woe(idiom)

  ●This expression refers to the good and bad times, the joys and sorrows, or prosperity and misfortune.

(福与祸,荣与辱,乐与悲)

  Examples:  

  1.We all get our share of weal and woe in life.  

  2.In this world, people's weal and woe do not necessarily occur reasonably .
