这几天收到很多电子圣诞卡及贺年卡，一般我们祝贺别人圣诞节快乐除了用Merry Christmas，其实还有很多千变万化的祝贺语。

　　在早两期的“缤Fun英语”我祝贺同学“I wish you many unconventional and memorable gifts and presents this Christmas.”有同学问为什麼不需要把have（有）放在you及many之间；又可不可以用hope代替wish。

　　基本文法结构是这样，这类型的祝贺语中的动词wish一般作为“及物动词”（transitive verb）使用，之后可以直接承接一个／一组受词或名词词组（object/noun phrase）。想掌握这类动词的用法绝不困难，只需观察例句，给自己作句练习，例如：

　　I wish you all every success with your

examinations.

　　I wish you a magical holiday.

　　They wish me all the best in my new

career.

　　“Wish”在这裏的用法已包括中文翻译“有”的意思。在这些情况下，我们不可以用hope代替wish。

　　hope在祝贺语作动词使用，有一种不肯定的祝福，一般是指一种盼望，一种对将来憧憬的盼望。例如：

　　I hope he will visit me next week.

　　I hope you have a great holiday.

　　I hope you enjoy a wonderful Christmas.

　　又例如：

　　I hope we meet again.是一种有可能的盼望，有机会发生的；但是如果我们用了wish: I wish we could meet again.便会变成一种不会发生，只是一种梦幻般的憧憬。
