  欣赏别人是一件很美好的事,每个人都喜欢被欣赏及被讚美自己的能力及知识。这也可以算是最基本建立良好人际关係的桥樑。不论是中小学生或在职人士,一般只懂採用形容词(adjectives)其实在英语语法上我们有大量的词彙可以使用。

  首先我们要釐定称讚在正式(formal)还是非正式(informal)的情况下发生,因为这会影响我们的用字及腔调。我们可以看看以下例子:

Formal

1)If you don't mind my saying, you are a(n) excellent/superior role model of a language learner. (+noun / noun phrase)

2)I reckon/ I must say you really master how to prepare Christmas turkey. (+ verb or verb phrases)

3)You might not notice this, but you have just made an epic model of our latest product. (+ noun phrase)

4)This is an exquisite portrait of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. (+noun phrase)

5)What a(n) excellent/outstanding project manager (+noun phrase) you are!

6)I admire your ability to convince your clients. (+verb/verb phrases)

Informal

1)You're great at running (+ verb +ing)

2)You can really rock the world. (+verb / verb phrase)

3)You knock them dead, cool dude.

      [Idiom]

4)Wow/Whoa, I wish I could drive (+ verb) as cool as you!

5)You're an amazing/awesome/brilliant/incredible chap (+ noun/noun phrase)

6.You're never going to believe this, but I took your advice and things worked out like crazy. (+ verb/noun phrase)

  当然这些短句不建议独立使用,最重要是在适当的场合运用适当的文字。讲故事的技巧(Storytelling Skill)是需要应用的。一般是在对话的中段,或是在公司的电邮上,合逻辑的在某特定情况下合情合理地使用。

The happiness of life could be simply made up of a fraction of words - the trivial, soon forgotten charities of a smile, a friendly look, or a heartfelt compliment.
