Hong Kong youngsters' future lies in the Ocean of Stars

　　“时代精神耀香江”之“仰望星空话天宫”活动昨日成功举办，在三名宇航员的“导游”下，约300名香港科技工作者、老师及大中学生得以一窥“天宫”之奥妙，并了解到宇航员的太空生活和工作情况。通过网络直播，许多市民见证了这激动人心的一幕。这是一堂妙趣横生的科普课，也是一堂别开生面的国情教育课，激起香港青年探索星空的好奇心，也激励他们立志报效国家成就人生价值。

　　“香港呼叫神舟十二号”，这场激动人心的对话，以这样独特的方式展开。整场“天地连线”中，香港学子非常雀跃，问了许多问题。例如：在太空舱如何做运动、如何饮水、出舱后能否看到香港等等。航天员都作出了精彩的回答。

　　当宇航员们踏着“凌波微步”、打着“太空太极拳”、演示“太空吸水”等动作时，会场响起阵阵欢呼声。遥远星河与香江热土梦幻联动，激发年轻一代航天热情，让大家领略宇宙的浩瀚神奇，感受祖国航天事业的巨大进步。

　　的确，“天地连线”为学生上了一堂生动的科普教育课和国情教育课。中国航天事业自力更生，从无到有，从小到大，从弱变强，取得“两弹一星”、“载人航天”、“月球取壤”、“火星探测”等重大突破。“天宫”遨游宇宙，是中国强大科技实力及综合国力的最直观体现，也充分体现了中国科学家奉献国家、艰苦奋斗的爱国精神。事实上，爱国是最崇高、最伟大的爱，科学家们凭着对国家的爱，甘于寂寞，勇于攀登，克服了一个又一个困难，创造了一个又一个奇迹。

　　中国梦、中国航天梦，少不了香港这一部分。中国将继续太空探索的脚步，未来的希望寄托在年轻一辈身上。香港科技实力不弱，过去为国家航天事业作出过杰出贡献，随着香港融入国家发展大局，为香港科技人员提供了无限的可能，可以最大程度地实现个人理想和抱负。

　　国家一直支持香港发展，关心香港年轻人。继早前安排航天科学家团队来港，现在又安排香港学子与航天员天地对话，这次活动是中央送给香港市民特别是香港青少年的一份跨越天地的特殊礼物，充分体现了中央对香港、对香港青少年的关心与厚爱。

　　香港步入由乱及治、由治及兴的新阶段，这为年轻人成长成才创造了良好的社会环境。中央推进大湾区建设，更为香港年轻人的未来拓展了巨大的空间，香港迎来了前所未有的发展时机。

　　香港年轻人，是香港的希望和未来，也是国家建设的希望和未来，只要能以己之所长贡献国家之所需，抓住时代机遇，一定能逐梦星辰大海，谱写出大有作为的人生篇章。正如中联办副主任谭铁牛所期望的那样：“香港年轻人要树立远大理想，胸怀报国使命，在爱国奉献中实现人生价值，成就人生梦想。”

The event of Times Spirit in Hong Kong - Look upward Skies and Talk with Tiangong was successfully held yesterday. "Tour guided" by the three Taikonauts, about 300 of Hong Kong's science and technology workers, teachers and university and secondary school students had a glimpse into the subtlety of the Tiangong space station, and gained some knowledge about how the Taikonauts lived and worked in space. Through online live broadcast, many citizens also witnessed this exciting event. This is a popularisation-of-science lesson full of wit and humour, and also a lesson of national-circumstances education in a novel way, which stimulates Hong Kong youngsters' curiosity in space exploration, and boosts their determination to do something worthy for the country and realise their values of life.

"Hong Kong calling Shenzhou XII" - this exciting dialogue was started in such a unique way. Throughout the whole course of "Linking Earth to Heaven", Hong Kong students were very active asking a lot of questions such as how to do physical exercises in the space station, how to drink water and whether the Taikonauts could see Hong Kong when they moved outside for a spacewalk. The Taikonauts gave brilliant answers to all these question.

When the Taikonauts were walking with dainty floating steps, practicing "Space Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan)" or demonstrating "sucking water in space", the audience on earth applauded and cheered. The dream-like interaction between the remote starry river and Hong Kong on Earth inspired the younger generations' enthusiasm for space aviation, led the audience to appreciate the vastness and wonderfulness of the universe and to comprehend the gigantic progress of our Motherland's aerospace industry.

Indeed, the "Linking Earth to Heaven" event served as a vivid lesson of popularization-of-science education and national-circumstances education. Relying on itself and starting from scratch, China's aerospace industry has expanded from small to large in scale and grown from weak to strong in strength. It has made breakthrough achievements such as the "atomic bomb, hydrogen bomb and artificial satellite", "manned spaceflight", "grabbing moon samples" and "Mars exploration".　　The Tiangong space station roaming in space is the best intuitive embodiment of China's powerful muscle in science and technology as well as its comprehensive national strength. It also well embodies the patriotic spirit of Chinese scientists who devote themselves to and work hard and perseveringly for the country.　　In fact, patriotism is the loftiest and greatest love. Out of their love of the country, Chinese scientists are willing to work all by their lonesome and have the courage to scale the heights of science, overcoming one difficulty after another and creating one miracle after another.

The Chinese Dream and the Chinese Aerospace Dream cannot dispense with the part of Hong Kong. China will go on with its space exploration. Future hopes are placed on the younger generations. Hong Kong is not weak in science and technology, having made outstanding contributions to the country's aerospace endeavour. Hong Kong's gradual integration into the country's overall development offers Hong Kong's scientific and technical personnel unlimited opportunities for them to maximally realise their personal ideals and ambitions.

The country always supports Hong Kong's development and show solicitude for Hong Kong youngsters. After sending a delegation of aerospace scientists to visit Hong Kong earlier, it has now arranged an Earth-Heaven dialogue between Hong Kong students and the Taikonauts. This event is a special gift from the Central Government for the Hong Kong people especially Hong Kong youngsters to span the gap between Heaven and Earth. This fully shows the Central Government's great kindness and solicitude for Hong Kong youngsters.

Hong Kong now enters a new stage of moving from chaos to order and from order to reinvigoration. This creates a good social environment for young people to grow and accomplish. The Central Government gives an impetus to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area), which furthermore opens up enormous space for the future of Hong Kong youngsters. Hong Kong now ushers in unprecedented development opportunities.

Hong Kong's young people are the hope and future of this city as well as of our country's reconstruction. As long as one can do one's bit with one's capability to contribute to the country and grasp the opportunities opened up by the times, one can surely chase one's dream in the ocean of stars and write down a chapter in life with great accomplishment. As put it by Deputy Director Tan Tieniu of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, "Hong Kong youngsters should set up long-range lofty ideals and have in their minds the mission to serve the country worthily, so as to realise their values of life and make their dreams of life come true by making patriotic contributions."
