•Err on the side of (sth) (idiom) -

To act with a specified bias towards something. (过于…,偏向…)

Examples:

1.I like to err on the side of caution and always keep some money in my savings account.  

2.It's better to err on the side of generosity than to appear too stingy.

•Drag sb/sth down (phrasal verb) -

To bring somebody or something to a lower social or economic level, a lower standard of behaviour, etc.(向下拖向…)

Examples:

1.Don't let them drag you down to their level.  

2.His disruptions are dragging down the performance of the other students.

•On point (idiom) -

Focused on or related to the crux or essence of a particular topic.(很切题,中肯的)

Examples:

1.This legislation could not be more on point.  

2.Nothing that you're saying is on point! You're just wasting time with mindless rambling.

•Keep one's mind on sth (idiom) -

To concentrate on something.(专注于…)

Examples:

1.Let's keep our mind on the job at hand.

2.The boss told us to keep our minds on the company's goal.

•The child is father of the man (proverb) -

直译为“儿童是成人之父”,与中文谚语“三岁看八十、七岁定终身”同义。源自英国诗人威廉.华兹华斯(William Wordsworth)在1802年写的一首诗,意思是:一个人在孩童时形成的性格会陪伴其终生。
