It will soon become possible to travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen by helicopter. The Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area specifically calls "To deepen management reform in low-altitude airspace, expedite the development of general aviation, and steadily develop cross-boundary helicopter services." Several airlines are poised to start the business. It is learned that certain helicopter companies have already gotten approval from the civil aviation authorities in the two cities and completed test flights between Shenzhen and Hong Kong last month. The first flight is expected to take off in late April the soonest.
