•Get down to sth (phrasal verb) -

To start doing something seriously or with a lot of effort.(开始认真/努力地去关注或做某件事)

Examples:  

1.I guess I'd better get down to reading it before I'm too tired. 

2.After lunch we got down to discussing the issue of pay.

•Spell sth out (phrasal verb) -

To say or explain something very clearly and simply.(讲清楚,说明白)

Examples:  

1.The government has so far refused to spell out its policy regarding environmental protection. 

2. Sorry, but could you spell out your exact plan for us? It doesn't really seem to make sense.

•Ahead of (phrase) -

If something happens ahead of an event or time, it happens before that event or time.(在…之前)

Examples:  

1.Price of the company's shares surges ahead of its annual report. 

2.The Chief Executive will make a brief comment on the issue ahead of the Executive Council meeting. 

•Decouple (verb) -

To end the connection or relationship between two things. (脱鈎,切断联系)

Examples:  

1.Gasoline prices have been decoupled from crude oil prices. 

2.The issue threatened to decouple Europe from the United States.

•Out of date (idiom) -

No longer valid, relevant or useful. (过时的,失效的)

Examples:  

1.No wonder your phone isn't working - the software is out of date.

2.The information provided in this travel guidebook is at least 10 years out-of-date.
